This was Kasamahan's first event and was started by nonprofit President, Cristina in 2021 with Illinois based therapists. Since Kasamahan's nonprofit status was established in 2023, Vice President, Edward took on the role of facilitator and director of the group. In 2024, Secretary, Eliza referred by Edward to Kasamahan expanded our online presence which supported Filipino/a/x mental health professionals licensed in other states and even country to participate. Although this remains an open consultation group aligned with our nonprofit mission, Edward provides structure for new, returning, and consistent members to share space and contribute.
