about social events

Kasamahan's social events are meant to support our community's Filipino/a/x mental health professionals with self-care and belonging.

Although Kasamahan's reach has grown past the Chicago, IL area where our nonprofit was established in 2023, this is still where most of our regular participants are located.

To meet our community where they are (mostly) at, our 2025 Summer and Winter Socials will be hosted by our Board Members based in Illinois. We anticipate these two events will eventually alternate in location in the coming years.

We invite you to get involved in shaping our growth by being active with our events. Most of them are free and online, making them easily accessible.

In the past, regular participants have taken the initiative to gather for lunches and dinners.

Participants are always welcome to host and self-fund smaller in-person social gatherings for Kasamahan to highlight here on our website with our whole community if it is in line with our Nonprofit Mission.
